Agartala: Mar 23: the state government is all set to accelerate Special Drive of Covid-19 Vaccine from 24th to 26th March in all over the state.
Speaking in a press conference CMO (west) Debashis Das said that they have trained teams for the special vaccination drive. The teams have been given the responsibility of the vaccination centres. He further said that all citizens aged 60 years and above and citizens suffering from certain diseases aged 45 to 59 years have been requested to take their identity cards to the nearest health centre between 8 am and 4 pm on March 24th to 26th.
Das further said that the vaccine will be given in 200 session. The first doze from 45 to 59 years has been given to 39,909 people so far.32,974 people over the age of 60 have been given the first dose of the vaccine. But the dministration has been keeping an eye on the current Covid situation. He said that testing will be stepped up at Airport, Railway station and land ports.
