Agartala: Apr 08: The reputation of the medical services of the state is spreading in different parts of the country. After West Bengal, patients are rushing from Assam- Manipur to Atal Bihari Vajpayee Regional Cancer Center in Agartala for treatment.
Patient from Assam begins chemotherapy today. Jaharlal Das(55), a resident of New Bangaigaon, Assam, contracted a throat infection from the tonsils.Two months ago, cancer was first detected in New Bangaigaon and later in Guwahati. He then decided to come Tripura for better treatment. Dr. Partha Sarathi Sutradhar observed him.
