Agartala: Apr 4: Some patients in the state have been going to other states for advanced treatment of complex diseases for a long time. The state government is trying to reduce the dependence on treatment in other states by making huge improvements in health services in the state.
Complex surgery one after another is being done in the state and many complex diseases are being treated.
A man from Kolkata, has recently come to Atal Bihari Vajpayee regional cancer, Agartala for treatment, fascinated by the state’s medical services.After learning about the quality of service at this cancer hospital, he decided to come here for his treatment.
The 54-year-old man, resident of Taltala in Kolkata was diagnosed with cancer in 2018. In 2018, he underwent surgery at a private nursing home in Kolkata. He was also given radiotherapy and chemotherapy. He was diagnosed with cancer again and underwent surgery again in 2000.This time he heard the reputation of ABV Regional Cancer Hospital in Agartala and went straight to Agartala for better treatment.
On April 1, doctors examined him and decided to do MRI and FNAC. Dr. Biswajit Devvarma and Dr. Pritesh Rajiv Singh examined him. Since he has undergone surgery twice before and was given radiation and chemotherapy three years ago.
Today, a medical board comprising radiation oncologist Dr Biswajit Debbarma, radiologist Prithviraj Sen Gupta, pathologist Dr. Mili Das and surgical oncologist Pritesh Rajiv Singh decided to treat him the next day after reviewing his report.
