Border Security Force has always been a volunteer to provide help to the people residing in border belt by taking initiative to serve needy people and community . With these notions,
a Civic Action Programme was organized in the AOR of 20 Battalion BSF at BOP Tillabazar, Sub Division Kailashahar, Distt. Unakoti, Tripura,on 26th March 2021 wef 1100 hrs to 1500 hrs.
During said civic action programme Free Medical Camp was organized wherein free Medical checkup was done and required medicines were distributed by a team of doctors to the patients and Bi-cycles were also distributed to the most deserving girl students on the line of Govt. scheme “Betti Bachao, Beti Padhao” .
The Medical Camp/ Civic Action Programme was inaugurated by sh. Rajiv Kumar Dua, DIG sector HQ Panisagar in presence of Sh.Sankatha Prasad , Comdt 20 BN BSF , Dr. Arun Kumar DC/SMO , Coy Comdrs,sh. Jaynto Jmatia, Additional SDM Kailashahar, SI . Alamgir Hossain, IC/ SHO,Police Station IRANI, and other reputed person of the localities, Media fraternity and about 250 villagers of border area.
During civic action programme around 200 plus local elderly and other needy patients were benefited with the free medical camp under CAP . They were given adequate and appropriate medicines for their various ailments.
Dr. Arun Kumar , DC/SMO, 20 Bn BSF provided medicare to the local villagers/Tribal population.
This gesture of the BSF has been highly appreciated by one and all. Local media persons were also present to gave vide coverage to the event.
Besides above , during above program,
07 bicycles , 25 desks and benches,15 Dust bins, 12 sintex water tanks, 05 Solar street lights, 01 sintex garbage trolly etc were also distributed to the most deserving communities and schools. Such a gesture to promote Community welfare, School education, Swakshata Abhiyaan, female education etc will go a long way in overall development of the society in border belt areas.
