Agartala: Oct 08:  Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) once again played a big role in Teliamura. It may be mentioned that a total of 220 ordinary voters from 60 families left BJP and joined Trinamool Congress. As the 2023 state assembly elections are approaching, there is a rush to change parties in the state. In the state of Tripura, it seems that West Bengal Chief Minister and Supremo Mamata Banerjee’s TMC camp is becoming more and more active in the game of changing parties.

It may be mentioned that 220 voters from a total of 60 families left various parties including the ruling BJP and joined the TMC camp in a backyard meeting in the West Hawaibari area under the Teliamura assembly constituency on Friday. State Trinamool Congress convener Subal Bhowmik and state youth Trinamool convener Baptu Chakraborty welcomed the newcomers to the TMC group at today’s meeting. Trinamool state leader Debabrata Dev Roy, youth Trinamool leader Dipannita Chakraborty and Dr Mrinalkanti Debnath among others were also present among others. Speaking on the occasion, Subal Bhowmik, Convener, State Trinamool Congress, said that the people of the state had brought the BJP government of Biplab Deb to power in Tripura by overthrowing the Manik Sarkar Leftist government in the 2018 state assembly elections just three years ago.

But since the BJP government came to power in the 2018 assembly elections, the common people of the state have not been able to sleep peacefully for a single night. The people of the state are still in a state of mental anguish. And the common people of the state are still fighting for the establishment of democracy.
